We think we can see things as specialists that the due diligence staff from M&A banking firms or M&A law firms may not see. They, by necessity, must cover a wide range of business entities and may have a less-experienced perspective to closely evaluate precision engineering and manufacturing operations. After many hundreds of visits and assessments in many countries of many different types of operations–from raw material through finished product–we feel we can ascertain the sometimes subtle differences between a sound operation or product concept and one that is vulnerable to disruption or instability or simply unsustainable.
